The entire airport site acts as a lung breathing vitality 24 hours a day into an ever-growing number of businesses. Over 4,500 direct jobs have been created there and, every day, new employees are joining the “LIEGE AIRPORT community”. Liege Airport is environmentally conscious

We are doing everything we can to minimise our impact, both in terms of energy use and of noise pollution.

  • ISO 14001 Certificated since 2003
    Attestation of our commitment to respect the environment
  • Lean & Green Certified since 2014
    Award for companies that reduce their carbon dioxide emissions
  • 460,000 KWh per year
    This is what Liege Airport saves by using LED lights. It is also the equivalent of the consumption of 130 households.
  • Cogeneration since 2015
    The production of heat and electricity by cogeneration reduces our consumption.
  • 290 tonnes OF CARBON DIOXIDE SAVED PER YEAR
    Thanks to cogeneration, Liege Airport saves 1,580,000 kwh of gas per year. This is the equivalent of 192 fewer cars on our roads.

Our future projects

Liege Airport is growing continually.

In addition to the construction of new warehouses to meet the demand of airlines and handlers, significant investments will be made to lengthen the secondary runway and create new aircraft parking areas..

  • 30.000 sq. m. of photovoltaic panels

    Liege Airport is investing massively in renewable energies. The electricity thus produced will be self-consumed.
  • 45 % of the energy

    45 % of the energy consumed on the airport site will be self-produced by 2025.
