By joining the airBaltic network, Liege Airport is taking a decisive step toward reviving its passenger traffic. 

On Monday, October 6, 2025, the general meeting of Liege Airport appointed new board members for the next five years. On that occasion, Mr. Fabian Marcq, who has long been involved in the region’s economic development, was appointed Chairman of the airport’s Board of Directors.

Liege Airport had an excellent year in 2025, with cargo volumes increasing by 14% compared to 2024 to reach 1,324,579 tons. This represents the strongest growth among the 10 largest European air cargo airports.

January 26, 2026 – Having recorded strong growth in 2025 (+14%) and aiming to become one of the top three cargo airports, Liege Airport is preparing for future growth by diversifying its fuel supply sources.
